WIA UK – Coffee Morning
WIA is a non-profit organisation that empowers and advocates for people in the art, technology, production, and business of animation, inspiring excellence and justice in all facets of the industry. WIA UK is a newly formed community of WIA Global, and as a UK-based community, we are focused on supporting and uplifting people of underrepresented gender identities within the UK animation industry.
Community is at the heart of WIA UK. We believe that lasting change comes from genuine connections and mutual support. We will work to understand the realities that women and people of marginalised genders are facing in the UK animation industry and find out how we can support them not only to survive but to thrive.
Join, Hannah Lau-Walker, one of the women behind WIA UK, for a screening and networking event where you can catch up with friends or meet new people, chat about what it’s like out there in the industry right now and find out how the UK chapter of WIA can help.
We can’t wait to hang out with this brilliant community, so join us first thing on Friday, for a coffe, some short films and a chance to hang out and chat.

WIA UK presents 'Don't worry, have fun'
We wanted to start the year by letting go of our anxieties, getting out there and having fun with weird creatures and funny tales of friendship, the supernatural, and a cowboy in search of therapy. We couldn’t be more excited to present ‘Don’t worry, have fun’, a screening celebrating brilliant animated shorts directed by women in the UK.
