What can I expect at Motion North?
It's a busy event, with a lot of people, and lots of choice. Think of a mini-music festival, but with talks about animation & creativity instead of music.
If you need a break, and a bit of quiet, there are plenty of spaces outdoors around the venue. The venue is also very large with some mezzanine spaces that we will be keeping free for 'chill-out' zones.
Is there Food & Drink?
There are plenty of food stalls at Freight Island, as well as bars serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
What is the vibe?
Motion North is meant to be a laid back, casual event, which is why we're careful about where we host it. Some people come along to focus on all the talks, some people spend more time having drinks and catching up with people. It's also a great place to meet other people who enjoy the same things.
Despite being relaxed in nature, it is an informative event. We strive to make sure the talks and workshops are of the highest quality, and offer real variety too.
Tell me about the venue.
Freight Island runs over several levels. The majority of the main talks will be on the accessible level, however there are some parts that are only accessible by stairs. If this will impact your experience, please contact us and we will do our best to work with you, and the venue, to ensure you get the best experience possible.
